The wisdom of Eastern systems of medicine have understood for thousands of years that we live in a world of energy that flows through all life. Reiki is a natural healing energy that helps to nourish and balance our own energy system, bringing us in alignment with our own inner most natural, peaceful state of being.

Reiki is a completely safe, non invasive treatment and helps all who receive it, shift towards a greater inner peace.

What is Jikiden Reiki?

Jikiden Reiki is Reiki as it was when it was first used in Japan in the 1920s. It is taught as it originally was in Japan before Reiki came over to the West, when some of the key understandings and the ways it was practiced were lost.

It is pure, simple, grounding and authentic to its roots. It is an incredibly effective healing method for the body and mind.

Jikiden Reiki treatments are completely bespoke to your needs. Your treatment plan is individualised to you, and as Jikiden Reiki Therapists, we are taught to understand the feedback we receive in our hands to be able to intensively target your areas of need.

So today I have had my first Reiki treatment and I had no idea what to expect but I feel amazing. It feels like pressure has been released from my head and I hadn't realised how much tension I keep in my jaw but it feels so relaxed. I was super lucky to win this treatment as part of a Mothers Day giveaway but I would definitely pay for this again! Thank you Sara for making me feel so good. I loved every minute of it. Everyone should have a me Monday once in a while.

Jikiden Reiki treatments

Jikiden Reiki physical treatments take place in my calm and quiet Reiki Room, allowing you to fully relax. You lie fully clothed on a therapy bed (you can also be seated if this is more preferable to you). I place my hands on the body where I find imbalances, and channel the Reiki through my hands to you to dispel areas of tension, emotional load or poor energy flow to restore balance. (Hand placement will be discussed with you prior to the treatment, with any modifications made to ensure a balance between treatment effectiveness and you feeling totally comfortable with the process).

What does Reiki feel like?

What one person experiences during a Reiki treatment is very different to another and likewise each treatment varies for an individual. Reiki is commonly experienced as a gentle flow of energy promoting a deep sense of relaxation. Some feel warmth, others a tingling sensation and some can feel the energy flowing through them - people's perceptions vary. As the Reiki energy encourages you to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and well-being is experienced. Although some people do experience strong results with Reiki therapy from their first treatment. I suggest viewing Reiki as a process of healing and promoting balance rather than a one off event, approaching Reiki therapy with the awareness that a course of regular treatments would likely be required, especially for deeper, long held imbalances.

How to approach Reiki for the best results

It is recommended to view Reiki as a process of healing and promoting balance rather than a one off event. A course of treatments is likely required. As you move through a course of treatments you will gradually start moving towards your natural state and a gradual improvement would be felt for the deeper, long held imbalances of the emotional/ physical body.
