The wisdom of Eastern systems of medicine have understood for thousands of years that
we live in a world of energy that flows through all life. Reiki stimulates the body’s natural
ability to heal itself by clearing stagnated or disrupted energy flow and encourages a
sense of relaxation, emotional wellbeing as well as helping people with more challenging
Reiki is a completely safe, non invasive treatment and help those who have a regular course of treatments to shift towards greater inner peace and calm within.
- So today I have had my first Reiki treatment and I had no idea what to expect but I feel amazing. It feels like pressure has been released from my head and I hadn't realised how much tension I keep in my jaw but it feels so relaxed. I was super lucky to win this treatment as part of a Mothers Day giveaway but I would definitely pay for this again! Thank you Sara for making me feel so good. I loved every minute of it. Everyone should have a me Monday once in a while.
What happens during a Reiki treatment?
The treatment takes place in a calm and quiet environment allowing you to fully relax. You lie fully clothed on a therapy bed (you can also be seated if this is more preferable to you). I place my hands on the body where I find imbalances, and channel the Reiki through my hands to you to dispel areas of tension, emotional load or poor energy flow to restore balance. (Hand placement will be discussed with you prior to the treatment, with any modifications made to ensure a balance between treatment effectiveness and you feeling totally comfortable with the process).
What does Reiki feel like?
What one person experiences during a Reiki treatment is very different to another and likewise each treatment varies for an individual. Reiki is commonly experienced as a gentle flow of energy promoting a deep sense of relaxation. Some feel warmth, others a tingling sensation and some can feel the energy flowing through them - people's perceptions vary. As the Reiki energy encourages you to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and well-being is experienced. Although some people do experience strong results with Reiki therapy from their first treatment, I suggest viewing Reiki as a process of healing and promoting balance rather than a one off event, approaching Reiki therapy with the awareness that a course of regular treatments would likely be required, especially for deeper, long held imbalances.
