Jikiden Reiki treatments are such a soothing tonic for the body, mind and soul.
A hands on energy healing practice that is generally offered to you, the client, while laying down (fully clothed), (it is possible to also receive the treatment in a chair if lying down is not possible). Sara will place her hands on areas of your body that have increased levels of Byosen (a Japanese Reiki term that indicates levels of toxins in the body that are the source of illness or disease).
During a treatment, Sara finds the areas of the body that require the healing energy the most - this means that you receive a bespoke, personalised treatment focused on your needs.
As Reiki flows through the body, it is balancing and stimulating the natural healing process, supporting the body return back to its natural state of being.
Physically the Reiki is helping eliminate toxins that are the root cause of the issue whilst simultaneously restoring balance mentally and emotionally.

Everyone’s experience of a Reiki treatment is very different to one another and treatments vary for each person. Reiki is commonly experienced as a gentle flow of energy promoting a deep sense of relaxation. Some feel warmth, others feel cold. Some feel a tingling sensations, others can feel the energy as waves through the body. Some feel nothing at all. Some people fall asleep. There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki - it is a very individual experience. Whatever you feel is right for you in that moment. The first overriding sensation you will notice is a sense of complete physical restoration. Typically, you will feel a great sense of peace and contentment within the body and mind. The physical body feels relaxed and the mind feels clear, calm and focused. One thing is for sure, once you’ve experienced Reiki you can leave feeling transformed in ways you hadn’t expected.

It is recommended to view Reiki as a process of healing and promoting balance rather than a one off session. Long held, chronic and / or serious illnesses will need more treatments. Typically, the longer you have had an issue, the longer it will take to return the body back to its natural state. More acute and minor issues such as injuries and common ailments usually heal fairly quickly and may only need a few treatments.

Yes! Reiki can be used to support accelerated healing of illness in the body. It’s not just a relaxation treatment, albeit an incredibly effective relaxation aid. Reiki helps us to kick start our own inner healing capacity, aiding the body to detox, emotionally and physically so that the illness can move through quicker. Reiki can help reduce fevers, headaches, general aches and pain, sickness and diarrhoea, cuts, bruises, bumps, burns (the list is endless). Reiki is incredibly effective in supporting healing & reducing pain and swelling from injuries such as sprains, muscular tears, ligament strains and general aches.

Yes! When you receive a physical treatment you are not only receiving healing for the physical body, but also for the emotional and mental too. This means that the Reiki is not only providing relaxation for the physical body but is also calming and soothing the emotional imbalances too. The state of our mental wellbeing often affects our physical wellbeing, and so receiving Reiki will support both physical and emotional issues and the root cause of these issues. There is also specific psychological treatment called Sei Heki Chiryo which can be used alongside physical treatments that works on any habits, thought patterns, addictions that are holding you back, for example, anxiety, worry, fears. This particular method helps the person to let go of whatever the issue is.

Absolutely - Reiki is completely safe to be used in all situations, with people of all ages, from babies to older adults, with all health issues. There are no contraindications with using Reiki. As Reiki is a natural, non invasive energy, your body uses it at a deep cellular level to support healing and bring balance back into the body and mind. On occasion, there may be special factors that may need extra consideration, but Reiki can still be used as a safe treatment. It is worth noting that if someone is very sick and they receive a lot of Reiki, they may experience a detox effect which can cause flu like symptoms. It is possible to liaise with the client in this situation to help lessen the effects by shortening the treatment.
